ATP: Jan-Lennard Struff eliminated in the round of 16 at Winston-Salem

Davis Cup player Jan-Lennard Struff (Warstein) has been eliminated from the ATP tournament in Winston-Salem/North Carolina in the round of 16.

In his US Open dress rehearsal, the 28-year-old lost 2:6, 2:6 against Nicolas Jarry from Chile, who was seeded at position 14. From a German perspective, only Peter Gojowczyk (Munich) and Dominik Köpfer (Furtwangen) are still in the race.

Struff made eight double mistakes on court 3 of the 778,070 dollar hard court tournament. The 52nd World Rankings could not make use of his three break chances, but he had to give up his serve four times.

Gojowczyk will face Pablo Carreno Busta (Spain), second seeded, on the other hand Lucky Loser Köpfer is still waiting for his opponent in the last 16. This is determined by Sam Querrey (USA/No. 9) and Taro Daniel from Japan.
