Laver Cup: 2019 in Geneva

Even before the start of the Laver Cup 2018 it is known where it will go in 2019.

After Prague for the premiere and Chicago this year, the third edition of the Laver Cup will take place in Geneva (20 – 22 September 2019). And with it in the home country of Roger Federer, who founded the team event in honour of Rod Laver with manager Tony Godsick.

“Switzerland’s central European location will make the Laver Cup accessible to many fans in Europe,” says Tony Godsick. “Over the past 20 years, Switzerland has developed into one of the world’s greatest tennis powers – and of course it is home to one of the greatest players of all time. “It is only fitting to bring the latest event in world tennis to this wonderful country.”

Federer himself was also happy. “I am so happy that the Laver Cup is coming to Switzerland. Thanks to Geneva and the Laver Cup for making this dream come true.”

This year, however, Team Europe is heading to the USA to defend its title in Chicago from 21 to 23 September.
