ITF Pro Circuit: Alexander Erler wins twice in Cairo

If so, then yes: Alexander Erler has won both single and double competition in Cairo/Egypt.

The 20-year-old took the top seeded Brazilian Jordan Correia out of the tournament 6:3, 6:4 in the singles semi-final, in the final he won 6:2, 7:5 against the Italian Simone Roncalli. Reward: the first single title on the ITF Pro Circuit!

Erler will thus also make a great leap into the world rankings: While 677 was the best position so far, he will be ranked 580 next week (the results of the ITF tour are only included in the world rankings one week later).

Erler was also successful in doubles: alongside Markos Kalovelonis he won 6-4, 7-6 (3) over Anirudh Chandrasekar/Aryan Goveas and took his fifth career title here.
