ATP: Federer, Roddick and (k)a horse

Roger Federer stopped by Austin one evening for an event of the Andy Roddick Foundation.

Almost all the big stars of the scene maintain a foundation – including ex-number-1 Andy Roddick, who, with his Andy Roddick Foundation, is committed to closing gaps in the education of children and offering them a diverse leisure program outside school.

On Monday evening, A-Rod welcomed Roger Federer, a very special guest, to the “Roger Comes to Austin” event hosted by Mary Carillo.

But I wonder if Federer actually came to the venue by horse, as one could conclude from a WhatsApp conversation between Federer and Roddick? It is doubtful.

The Maestro himself has moved on anyway and arrived in Chicago: There he will be on the pitch this weekend for the Laver Cup – it is his first appearance since his US open-out three weeks ago. Compared to New York, Federer certainly wants to gain some horsepower here.
