Congratulations, Daddy John Isner!

John Isner can’t complain: 2018 will be the best season of his life, including his first Masters 1000 title (in Miami), first semi-final at a Grand Slam tournament (Wimbledon) and a new high ranking (8th place). And things are also great in private life: “Big John” has now become daddy.

“Life changed forever when this little creature saw the world on September 15, 2018,” wrote Isner on Instagram. “I wouldn’t have believed it was possible to love something so much.” But his love for sports does not seem to diminish his love for Hunter Grace – in the background of the photo Isner has a football game on TV…

Isner had announced to take a break from the tour for the time after the US Open to stay with his wife. However, he will be on the entry list for the tournament in Beijing (from 1 October). Let’s see if he’ll pick up the racquet again – or if he’ll extend the family time a bit more.
