ATP: Oswald and Mirnyi eliminated in St. Petersburg semi-final

Philipp Oswald and Max Mirnyi are out of the ATP World Tour 250 tournament in St. Petersburg. The two veterans lost in the semi-final to the Italian couple Fabio Fognini and Matteo Berrettini in two sets 6:7 (5) and 3:6.

The first set was only decided in the tiebreak, the Italians were just 7:5 ahead. Fognini, who had lost to Martin Klizan in the singles match in two sets, and Berrettini played 5-0 in Durcgang 2. Oswald and Mirnyi came back to 3-5, but had to congratulate their opponents on entering the final after 78 minutes.

There the Italians will meet Matwe Middelkoop from the Netherlands and his Czech partner Roman Jebavy.

The singles final will be played by Klizan and tournament favourite Dominic Thiem.
