WTA: Kiki Bertens wins second hard court title in Seoul

Kiki Bertens has won the WTA tournament in Seoul. The Dutch woman defeated Ajla Tomljanovic in the final in three sets.

For years Kiki Bertens had been considered a woman who is only capable of great things in ash fields. The Dutchwoman refuted this myth with her success at the WTA Mandatory Tournament in Cincinnati at the latest. Bertens won another tournament in the final of Seoul with Ajla Tomljanovic, an Australian with strong Croatian roots, 7:6 (2), 4:6 and 6:2 after a playing time of 2:22 hours.

Bertens took 280 points for the WTA World Ranking with her Asian trip, which will lead her next to Wuhan in China. There, the Dutchman will face Belinda Bencic from Switzerland in round one.
