ATP Challenger: Lucas Miedler eliminated in round one in Tiburon

Lucas Miedler has been eliminated from the ATP Challenger Tournament in Tiburon. The Austrian defeated Cem Ilkel from Turkey in three sets.

Last week in St. Petersburg, Miedler qualified for the first time for a main field of an ATP World Tour 250 tournament. But defending champion Damir Dzumhur was defeated there after a good start.

In Tiburion Miedler, who is currently ranked 213th in the world rankings, won the first set against the Turkish qualifier, but Ilkel was defeated 6-4, 4-6 and 3-6 after 2-05 hours. In round two Marcel Granollers is waiting for Ilkel.

Miedler was the only German-speaking representative in the main field of the 100,000 US dollar event in the US state of California.
