HEAD celebrates the 25th anniversary of the legendary Radical racquet and has a very special gift for you. Show us how much Agassi is in you and win!

25 years ago Andre Agassi conquered the tennis world and finally played his way to number one in the world. Always with you: The legendary HEAD RADICAL tennis racquet. For the 25th anniversary you have the chance to win an original replica of the Agassi racquet.

HEAD has launched two limited editions of the RADICAL: In addition to the modern GRAPHENE TOUCH RADICAL 25 LTD, which is recommended by US player Taylor Fritz, the original RADICAL OS from 1993 also celebrates a truly masterly comeback.

Agassi celebrated its breakthrough on the road to a successful career in the early 1990s. Since his triumph at Wimbledon in 1992, he has been considered a contender for the tennis throne and one of the great hopes in American tennis. The then 22-year-old should exceed expectations. In contrast to Boris Becker, Michael Stich, Michael Chang and the McEnroe brothers, Agassi showed a new kind of tennis. His constant companion during this time was the HEAD RADICAL OS, which also became known under the nickname “Bumblebee”.

In 1994 Agassi was to achieve one of the most emotional victories of his career. In September, he was a great hopeful at his home Grand Slam in New York City and made tennis history. At the age of 24, the man with the eye-catching sportswear and long hair first played his way into the hearts of the spectators and finally to winning the title.

His first major victory on home soil at the US Open should be the second of eight Grand Slam victories.

The festive new edition of the RADICAL OS Ltd. corresponds exactly to the original, including the 18/19 clothing picture from 25 years ago. This also includes the Bumblebee design, which caused a sensation on many squares, including in 1994, when Andre Agassi won the US Open as the second unseeded player after 1966.

As part of its 25th anniversary, HEAD publishes 100 limited edition boxes. This collector’s box contains the racquet, a special header card with original SVC grip band and HEAD Pro Grip as well as a certificate of authenticity signed by Andre Agassi himself.

The iconic Bumblebee design, inspired by the first RADICAL racket, is also reflected in the second model to mark the anniversary: the modern GRAPHENE TOUCH RADICAL 25 LTD. Based on the features of the GRAPHENE TOUCH RADICAL MP, the racquet features innovative Graphene Touch technology for an incredible touch and a solid, cushioned feel.

It also features a dynamic 16/19 stringing pattern for improved playability, providing more spin and balance. The higher swing weight, on the other hand, leads to an improved pull through the ball. With its truly distinctive and historic design, the racket is the perfect choice for the versatile player who is not afraid to celebrate the history of tennis in style. The iconic design in black and yellow also appears on the Radical Ltd. 12R Monstercombi as well as the 6R Combi and ensures a perfectly matching appearance on the court.

At the age of 36 and under standing ovations, Agassi finally left the tour at the US Open – with a HEAD racket in his hand! Even without the American, the success story of the RADICAL racquet continued. Players like Andy Murray, Robin Soderling and Amelie Mauresmo enjoyed the good piece and continued the story of the bat.

And now you can be part of this story and hold Agassi’s secret weapon in its original design in your hands! HEAD is raffling off one of the collector’s boxes signed by the tennis star, of which there are only 100 at all!!!

Show us how much Agassi there is in you! Apply with an “Agassi-Lookalike”-picture under the mail below. Let your creativity run wild and recreate a pose or look of the US-American. We select the best and most creative picture as the winner. The competition runs until 14 October 2018 (24:00). Join in – it’s worth it!
