ATP: Nadal and Djokovic play Exhibition in Saudi Arabia

Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic will be exhibiting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on 22 December.

The match will take place in King Abdullah Sports City. In this stadium you can normally watch football matches, but boxing matches have already taken place at this venue.

Nadal announced on Twitter that he was already looking forward to the show fight. It’ll be his first appearance in the kingdom. Currently the world number one is suffering from a knee injury and his comeback is planned in Paris-Bercy.

His opponent Novak Djokovic is completely different. After the triumphs in Wimbledon and New York, the Serb is about to push Nadal from the throne. At the Masters 1000 tournament in Shanghai, the 31-year-old will face Jeremy Chardy in the second round.

For Nadal and Djokovic the show fight in Jeddah will not be the first: The duo already met in Bangkok and Milan at Exhibitions.

On the ATP tour the two played 52 times against each other. The Serb leads Head to Head with 27:25 and won eight of the last ten matches.
