ATP: Philipp Kohlschreiber, Peter Gojowczyk and Maximilian Marterer at the start in Stockholm

At least three Germans will play for the tournament victory at the ATP World Tour 250 tournament in Stockholm starting Monday, three more have the chance to qualify for the main draw.

Many chances to score points for the ATP World Ranking are no longer available for the tennis pros this season. One of them will be in Stockholm on Monday, where at least three German professionals will be at the start. And two of them are presented with Australian tasks: Philipp Kohlschreiber, for example, who was assigned to Alex de Minaur by lot.

The latter has just lost this week in Shanghai against Alexander Zverev, it will be interesting to see how de Minaur has coped with the travel strain. Kohlschreiber, in any case, has given himself the gift of the Asian trip if he is well equipped for the tasks in Stockholm, then Vienna and Paris-Bércy. By the way, with Tobias Summerer at his side, who now devotes himself to Philipp Kohlschreiber after the resignation of Florian Mayer.

Another Australian is Peter Gojowczyk in the Swedish capital – the Dachauer meets John Millman. “Gojo” won two laps in Shanghai, but was eliminated by Matthew. Maximilian Marterer, who will have to take on local hero Elias Ymer, completes the trio of fixed qualifiers.

Three more Germans will be competing in the qualifiers from today: Oscar Otte against Bernard Tomic, who has regained his strength, Matthias Bachinger against Norbert Gombos and Mats Moraing against Andrea Arnaboldi.

By the way, John Isner is the favourite of the tournament. For the US-American it is still about the qualification for the ATP final in London.
