Davis Cup: Kosmos Managing Director Alonso – Davis Cup will survive even without top player

The premiere of the new Davis Cup final tournament next November will definitely be a success. At least the managing director of the investor believes Kosmos.

Well, that’s going to go down particularly well with the top players. Javier Alonso, managing director of the investment firm Kosmos, believes that the new Davis Cup format adopted by the ITF in August will definitely be a success. It doesn’t matter who will be competing at the end of November.

“Gerard Piqué did not come to the rescue of the Davis Cup because there was no way to save it,” Alonso said last week on the sidelines of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Shanghai. “The Davis Cup is a historic competition that will continue to exist, with or without the greatest stars in tennis.”
