WTA Finals: Kristina Mladenovic and Timea Babos win title in Singapore

Kristina Mladenovic and Timea Babos have won the title at the WTA finals in Singapore. The French woman and her Hungarian partner defeated Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova in two sets.

Next highlight for Kristina Mladenovic and Timea Babos: After winning the first Grand Slam title of the season together in Australia at the beginning of the year, they finished the year with a victory. The pair in second place beat the tournament favourites Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova 6-4 and 7-5 at the WTA Finals in Singapore.

Babos thus defended the title from last year. At that time she had remained successful with Andrea Sestini Hlavackova. For Mladenovic, the victory in Singapore meant the conciliatory conclusion of a season in which the French rider had only few successes in the singles. Mladenovic will close the year at world rank 44.

In the singles final, Sloane Stephens from the USA and Elina Svitolina from the Ukraine will face each other.
