ATP: Novak Djokovic after three-set victory over Marin Cilic in semi-final in Paris

Novak Djokovic has reached the semi-finals of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Paris-Bercy. The Serbian defeated Marin Cilic from Croatia in three sets.

The dream of Novak Djokovic’s fifth title in Paris-Bercy is alive and kicking: The first of the world rankings from Monday onwards defeated Marin Cilic 4:6, 6:2 and 6:3 and awaits the winner of the last quarter-final of the day between Kei Nishikori and Roger Federer in the semi-final on Saturday.

Cilic started strongly and used one of his few chances in the first set to win 6:4. After Djokovic took the second run, Cilic took the lead again with a break. Djokovic, however, immediately made a comeback and was safe in the further course of the match.

Karen Khachanov and Dominic Thiem will play in the second semi-final on Saturday. The Austrian fought his way back against Jack Sock after being trailing the set, Khachanov had no problems with a stricken Alexander Zverev.
