The women’s 2018/2019 Ski World Cup season is a very special one. But not only Vonn is the focus of the women’s World Cup season 2018/2019, as his compatriot Mikaela Shiffrin could win slalom gold for the fourth time in a row at the World Championships in Aare in mid-February. Of course, the 23-year-old is also aiming for the third overall World Cup in a row.
After a sobering World Cup season, Austria’s women’s ski team has regained its courage. “I’m assuming that we’ll be in the front again this year,” explained women’s racing manager Jürgen Kriechbaum. The aim is to get back into the World Cup disciplines. Potential podium riders are above all Anna Veith, Cornelia Hütter and Bernadette Schild.
