ATP: Max Mirnyi finally quotes himself

One of the best doubles players of recent years has now finally announced his resignation: Max Mirnyi, who won two ATP tournaments in 2018, will retire.

Philipp Oswald has known it for quite some time, and Max Mirnyi’s final step was no longer a secret in the ATP scene either: The Belarusian retires at the best tennis age of 41 and can look back on a total portfolio of 53 double titles on the Tour, including four Grand Slam championships.

Not forgetting the gold medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, where Mirnyi won the mixed tournament alongside Victoria Azarenka.

The last two titles of Max Mirnyi’s career will be won by Philipp Oswald at the beginning of 2018: at the first edition of the 250cc event on Long Island and afterwards in Houston.
