NBA presents “Kobe Bryant MVP Award” at All-Star Game

In honor of the fatally injured Kobe Bryant, the NBA names the prize for the best professional at the annual All-Star Game after the basketball superstar.

“It seems very fitting to us because no one has stood for an All-Star more than Kobe Bryant,” said League Chief Adam Silver before the game of the best professionals in the North American league in Chicago. Bryant had 18 appearances in the NBA All-Star Game. The legend of the Los Angeles Lakers was killed in a helicopter crash at the end of January with his daughter and seven other people.
