ATP: Title premiere for Dzumhur

Damir Dzumhur has worked in St.Petersburg won the first ATP title of his career.The 25-year-old Bosnian won the final against Fabio Fognini (Italy) in three sets.

What a day for Damir Dzumhur!The world rankings-55.is the first player from Bosnia and Herzegovina to win a single title on the ATP Tour.In the final of the indoor hard court tournament in St.Petersburg defeated Dzumhur Fabio Fognini 3:6,6:4,6:2.

In the semi-finals, the quick right-hander prevailed over Jan-Lennard Struff.After Peter Gojowczyk, who also triumphed on the tour for the first time in Metz, Dzumhur is the seventh ATP premiere winner this season.

With the help of 250 ranking points, the Bosnian will be among the world’s top 50 for the first time.Dzumhur had already reached the final in Winston-Salem in August, but was defeated by the Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut in his final premiere.
