WTA: Görges misses Wuhan eighth-finals

Julia Görges (Bad Oldesloe) missed her way into the last sixteen at the WTA tournament in Wuhan, China.In the second round, the 28-year-old lost to Agnieszka Radwanska (No. 9) from Poland in spite of a good performance 5:7,5:7 and was the last German.

In the first set were Görges (WTA-No. 27) and the world rankings-13.Radwanska a duel at eye level in high heat.Only in the twelfth game did the Polish player manage to break his first match break.

In the second round, both players had problems getting their serve.But in the decisive situations, however, Görges made too many mistakes.After two defended match balls and almost two hours of play Radwanska won the match.

In the first round of the 2.365 million dollar competition, the trio Angelique Kerber (Kiel/Nr. 12), qualifier Andrea Petkovic (Darmstadt) and Mona Barthel (Bad Segeberg) had already been eliminated.
