WTA: Maria reaches Tashkent’s last sixteen

Tatjana Maria (Bad Saulgau) has reached the round of sixteen at the WTA tournament in Tashkent/Uzbekistan.The 30-year-old, who was seeded third, won her opening match against the Russian Vitalia Diatchenko 6-3,6-1.

After 81 minutes Maria turned her first match point.Next opponent for the world rankings-53.The winner of the $250,000 hard court tournament is the winner of the duel between Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus) and Evgeniya Rodina (Russia).
