WTA: Rybarikova follows Strycova to Linz final

At the Upper Austrian Open in Linz, the two top-setters will meet: Magdalena Rybarikova also made it to the final after Barbora Strycova.

Magdalena Rybarikova has lived up to her role as a favourite: The Slovakian has been top seeded in a WTA tournament for the first time at the Upper Austrian Open in Linz – and is now at least in the final, where she will meet the number two seeded Barbora Strycova from the Czech Republic on Sunday afternoon.

6:4,6:4 was the final result in favour of Rybarikova, who this year’s semi-final in Wimbledon, where she was defeated by the eventual winner Garbine Muguruza.The Slovakian played her serve twice, but managed to make four breaks.After 110 minutes the final of Linz was determined.

Strycova had also beaten Romanian qualifier Mikhaela Buzarnescu in two sets in the first semi-final.
