ATP: Stepanek new coach from Djokovic

Former world number one Novak Djokovic signed the recently resigned Czech Radek Stepanek as a new coach. This was announced by the 30-year-old on Thursday evening during a live stream on the Instagram social network.

Twelve-time Grand Slam winner Djokovic, once Boris Becker’s protégé, is currently injured and intends to make his comeback in Abu Dhabi at the end of December.

Stepanek had finished his active career in mid-November after 21 years. The 39-year-old won the Davis Cup twice and won a total of five titles on the Tour. In July 2006, he climbed to eighth place in the individual world rankings. His last match was the Australian Open in January, his last match was the Australian Open in January.
