Service: Matchtipp of the day: Kyrgios meets Dimitrov presented by LeoVegas

Nick Kyrgios and Grigor Dimitrov – the “Matchtipp of the day” presented by LeoVegas – will make a great match in the eighth-finals of the Australian Open.

Already in the eighth-finals of the Australian Open there is a real thrill ahead of us. The local hero Nick Kyrgios will meet the third ranked rider Grigor Dimitrov. Spectacle and tongue-buckle pre-programmed!

Especially Kyrgios presents himself in great form and has the audience on his side. The fan favourite served well in the previous rounds and provided one highlight after another with his athletic playing style. In the second round, Victor Troicki was the first stage that Kyrgios had mastered with flying colors. The Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was the expected tough test in round three – the “enfant terrible” stood up to the expectation pressure of the domestic fans and the angry attacks of Tsongas. Kyrgios catapulted himself to the top of the list of favourites for victory in the tournament with his way of reaching the last sixteen.

His opponent Dimitrov was there before the start of the tournament. The Bulgarian is the world’s number three player, beating up the rising Russian Andrey Rublev in particular. The 26-year-old’s new self-conception allows him to dominate the rallies from the very beginning – Dimitrov does not seem to lose a thought of defeat. In particular, the five-set win against young American Mackenzie McDonald, who proved to be a sensation in his underdog role, confirmed the will of the reigning final winner.

In the duel with Dimitrov, the serve will be decisive. From the baseline, both players present themselves constantly and act at full speed. Even from a physical point of view, Kyrgios and Dimitrov are at eye level. Advantages on the part of Kyrgios can be found in the nonchalance and coolness – Dimitrov scores points in terms of endurance and variation in the hit repertoire.

The outcome of the match is completely open – it will be a treat for the fans anyway.

Betting provider LeoVegas even sees Dimitrov as an outsider and writes a odds of 2.32 for the Bulgarian. Favourite Kyrgios enters the game with a 1.61 quota.

Here you can place your bets for your favourites!
