ATP: Peter Gojowczyk misses second career title in Delray Beach

Peter Gojowczyk from Munich missed his second victory at the ATP-Tour. In the final of Delray Beach, the world ranking-64 lost. after only 62 minutes against the US-American Frances Tiafoe 1:6,4:6.

Despite his defeat, Gojowczyk, who had celebrated his only ever title win in Metz last year, will be among the top 50 in the world rankings for the first time since Monday.

On his way to the final, 28-year-old Davis Cup player Tiafoes fellow countrymen John Isner, Reilly Opelka and Steve Johnson had thrown out of the tournament.
