ATP: Novak Djokovic back on court – in Italy

Novak Djokovic plays tennis again! On Saturday there was a first photo of the Italian Riviera.

“We are honored that Novak Djokovic has chosen our center to hit his first balls. We hope that we are a lucky charm for a successful comeback,”said an instagram photo of the Piatti Tennis Center.

Ricardo Piatti had trained Djokovic from 2005 to 2006, but did not want to work full-time with him, so he separated. Among the Italian’s other former protégés are Ivan Ljubicicic, Richard Gasquet and Milos Raonic. In the beginning he also trained Renzo Furlan, Cristiano Caratti and Omar Camporese.

Djokovic had undergone an arm surgery in Switzerland after his Australian Open-Out, after having been struggling with problems for about two years. After the Wimbledon tournament in 2017, conventional healing was attempted.

The “Djoker” is supposedly aiming for a comeback for the ATP tournament in Madrid (from 6th place). May), as his father recently suggested.
