ATP: Torture in Miami in Round Two – Struff loses

Maximilian Marterer (Nuremberg) has entered the second round of the ATP tournament in Miami/Florida. The 22 year old World Ranking-73. won on Wednesday against the 13 places better classified Hungarian Marton Fucsovics with 6:4, 6:4. Next opponent of Marterer is the world ranking fourth Grigor Dimitrov from Bulgaria.

Davis Cup player Jan-Lennard Struff (Warstein), however, was eliminated in the first round. The 27-year-old lost to Swedish teenager Mikael Ymer after a good start with 6:3, 5:7, 1:6 and failed like last time in Indian Wells at his opening hurdle.

19-year-old Ymer, number 407 in the world rankings, entered the main field of the $7.9 million tournament via a wildcard.

On Wednesday Peter Gojowczyk (Munich) and Mischa Zverev will play their first round matches. The German top player Alexander Zverev (both Hamburg) has a walk-through to start.
