NHL: Vanek runs in debacle with Red Wings

Austria’s ice hockey legionnaires have experienced a Saturday to forget in the NHL.

The Philadelphia Flyers with Michael Raffl lost 0-1 to the Vegas Golden Knights at home, while the Arizona Coyotes also lost 3-0 to the Buffalo Sabres at home. And Thomas Vanek slipped with the Detroit Red Wings into a 2:8 debacle at the Boston Bruins.

Vanek will have to wait for his first scorer point this season and his club will still be victorious after the fifth match.

It was the third defeat for Philadelphia and Western Conference taillight Arizona, but the Coyotes have only played four games.
