ATP: Antwerp: Jan-Lennard Struff after victory over Feliciano Lopez in quarter finals

Jan-Lennard Struff is in the quarter finals of the ATP World Tour 250 tournament in Antwerp. The German Davis Cup player defeated Feliciano Lopez 6-1, 3-6 and 7-6 (3).

Struff started against the Spanish left-hander furiously, took the first set with 6:1. Lopez countered, managed with 6:3 the set equalization. No breaks then in the decision, the winner had to be determined in the tiebreak.

And there the German won the third duel with Lopez after a 0:3 deficit after seven points in a row with 7:3 and scored 2:1 victories in the internal balance.

In the quarter-finals Jan-Lennard Struff will face the winner of the match between Richard Gasquet and Jiri Vesely. However, the Warsteiner has already been eliminated in the doubles – with his partner Ben McLachlan in the first round against the Argentinian-Chilean pair Maximo Gonzalez and Nicolas Jarry.
