Tsitsipas triumphiert in Marseille

Greek against a super talent only little problems.

ATP champion Stefanos Tsitsipas has apparently overcome his low form and celebrated his first tournament victory this year. The 21-year-old Greek won the final in Marseille against the two years younger Canadian talent Felix Auger-Aliassime after 1:28 hours 6:3, 6:4. Tsitsipas’s success earned him prize money of 116,030 euros, and after his success at the ATP finals in London last November, Tsitsipas had fallen into a form crisis.

He lost two of his three games at the inaugural ATP Cup in Australia at the beginning of January, winning only against the then weak Alexander Zverev. At the Australian Open shortly afterwards, Tsitsipas had already reached the end of his career in the third round.
