WTA: Next first round out for Carina Witthöft

Carina Witthöft has again failed at the opening hurdle after her first-round finish at the French Open. The 23-year-old from Hamburg lost to local hero Bibiane Schoofs at the WTA tournament in the Dutch ‘s-Hertogenbosch on Monday after 1:28 hours 4:6, 5:7.

In the first round of Paris Witthöft had to admit defeat to French wildcard starter Fiona Ferro. In’s-Hertogenbosch, she had her tenth kick-off failure at the twelfth Grand Slam, WTA and Future tournaments this year.
