The world rankings-136th beat the second seeded local hero Kristina Mladenovic 6:3, 6:3 in the eighth-finals of the hard court tournament. In the $275,000 event, Friedsam will meet Viktoria Kuzmova (Slovakia/no. 8) in the round of the last eight.
