C.against Tatjana Maria.Despite the downward spiral, the Frenchman still has a chance to qualify for the WTA finals in Singapore.Before the tournament started in Wuhan, she was ranked ninth in the annual world ranking list, with 779 points behind the eighth-placed Johanna Contacts.However, Mladenovic now needs a very strong result next week at the WTA Premier Mandatory tournament in Beijing to get a ticket to the season finale in Singapore.After the bankruptcy series of the last few weeks with the many clear defeats, a first round victory would be a great success.
