Tatjana Maria (Bad Saulgau) entered the WTA tournament in Linz without any problems.The world rankings-52.Tunisian Ons Jabeur defeated Ons Jabeur 6-1,6-4 in her opening match in 1:09 hours.

In the round of the last 16 Maria now meets Anna-Lena Friedsam (Neuwied) or Viktoria Kuzmanova (Slovakia).

Friedsam, who will start with a wildcard, makes her comeback on the WTA tour in Linz after more than a year of abstinence due to a shoulder injury. In the world rankings, the former number 45 is in 1097th place.
