ATP:”McFederer” and Murray’s Scotsman’s Cap

In a charity match at Andy Murray’s home town of Scotland, Scotland, the Scot together with Roger Federer put on a curious show and made the crowd laugh. Especially Federer was convincing in the traditional kilt.

At the Charity Match in Glasgow Andy Murray and Roger Federer put on an amusing show. The two superstars did not only know how to put the audience in ecstasy with great and spectacular tennis.

However, the “Maestro” Roger Federer was responsible for the evening’s show performance. During a short interview during the match, the 36-year-old said:”If someone brought me a kilt, I’ll play in it”. Just a few minutes later, an elderly lady took off her tartan skirt and handed the Scottish traditional garment over to the 19-times Grand Slam champion.

The patroness, of course, did not miss the opportunity to dress Roger Federer personally and, in doing so, went to work without fear. The spectators were offered a curious spectacle.

“FedEx” kept his word and after a few dry runs went to the service line and played in a tartan skirt. The kilt seemed not to hinder Federer at all and the 36-year-old even won the service game.

But that’s not all: Host Murray didn’t get away with it. Soon Federer pulled a redhead wig with a tartan hat out of his pocket and handed it over to his opponent. Murray didn’t burn for long and kept playing with it.

The serious sport was transformed into a fun and refreshing show in only a short time. One thing is clear: Tennis fans want to see more of such activities!
