Tennis: Andy Murray for the second time father
Kim Sears and Andy Murray can look forward to their second offspring. After their daughter Sophia was born last year, the two of them have once again provided for female offspring.
The BBC reports that the young lady saw the light of day two weeks ago, but for the time being it was agreed not to disclose the name of the offspring. Both Sears and the baby are well.
Murray’s grandmother, Shirley Erskine, spoke to the BBC about the latest addition to the family:”Everyone is healthy, that’s the most important thing. Sophia now has a little playmate, I’m sure they’re both going to be thrilled to meet each other.”
Referring to the name of her youngest daughter, Erskine skillfully evaded:”We’ll find out next weekend.”
Murray himself recently made his comeback on the tennis court. At the charity event Andy Murray Live, Scotland lost a show fight against Roger Federer 3-6,6-3,6-10. I’m not sure if Murray’s offspring will soon be hitting Wimbledon,”she said with a wink.
Amongst the many congratulators was Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon,”Congratulations to Kim and Andy (and also to Grandma Judy),”twittered Sturgeon.
