ATP Finals: Jack Sock takes the second chance

Jack Sock has kept his chance of making it to the semi-finals at the ATP finals in London: The American defeated the Croatian Marin Cilic in three sets.

Marin Cilic simply can’t win against Jack Sock: The Croatian US Open Champion of 2014 won the first set in the London O2 Arena 7:5, but then he had to admit defeat with 2:6 and 6:7 (4). In his last group match against Alexander Zverev, Sock still has the chance to qualify for his first appearance at the ATP year-end closing.

After winning the first round, Cilic suffered from a few lack of concentration, Sock quickly took the lead with a break, and in the second round, nothing was burned. The US-American, who had celebrated his biggest career success in Paris-Bércy just two weeks ago, was the better hitman, the decision was made in the tiebreak: Cilic led there with a mini-break 4:2, but was not to score a point after that.
