Tennis: Novak Djokovic cancels Amazon documentary
The former world leader Novak Djokovic has ended his cooperation with the online streaming service Amazon Prime. The American company had originally planned a documentary to accompany Djokovic on the ATP tour’s daily routine.
As the Daily Mail reports, the Serbian’s decision for Amazon is bitter, especially because those responsible had already put a lot of time and money into the project long before Djokovic had to end his season with injury worries.
Djokovic, it seems, is not interested in attracting additional attention during a particularly difficult phase of his career.
Due to a persistent elbow injury, Djokovic was unable to play a match against Tomas Berdych in the quarter-finals at Wimbledon. The 30-year-old named – as Stan Wawrinka – for the Mubadala World Tennis Championship at the end of December and wants to return to the tennis stage at the show fight in Abu Dhabi.
Djokovic used his compulsory break to visit Steph Currys Golden State Warriors. On his tour comeback, the current number twelve in the world could welcome Radek Stepanek as a good friend to his coaching team.
