WTA: Kuznetsova teases Bouchard:”Overrated player.”

Svetlana Kuznetsova is a woman of clear words. She has now proven this again and is stinging against her rival Eugenie Bouchard.

Kuznetsova does not mince matters in her criticism. The Russian was asked at Sport-Express which player she thought was overrated. The Canadian Eugenie Bouchard was chosen.

“She’s a cool girl, but there are plenty of good players,”said the 32-year-old. The reason why Kuznetsova called Bouchard was “Kuzi”:”Boachrd only played a good season and has been treated like a top 10 player ever since.”

The ranking is partly correct for the old master. In the year 2014 “Genie” celebrated its breakthrough and played itself with great tennis in fourth place on the world ranking list. With increasing interests in her personality, the results on the court became more and more absent. The 23-year-old is now in 82nd place in the ranking. However, their appearance in the social media is first class. Bouchard uses its reputation for advertising purposes and shares her private life with her fans.

In a direct comparison, Kuznetsova is 3-0 ahead of her younger opponent. The last match between the two players was in Madrid’s quarter-finals in 2017. Bouchard called the past season “the worst of her career” and wants to attack again next year.
