Great news from Laura Siegemund: After her cruciate ligament rupture in the summer of 2017, the German is showing herself in training and preparing for her comeback.

The current Porsche Grand Prix winner is back in training. Laura Siegemund appears after her cruciate ligament rupture in the first half of 2017 on her instagram account during gymnastics training. A positive sign: The damaged knee is fully loaded again and seems to hold.

Due to the serious injury, the 29-year-old missed three Grand Slam tournaments in 2017. At the tournament in Nuremberg, the Filderstädterin slipped at the baseline and twisted her knee. As a result, Siegemund had to cancel the complete rest of the 2017 season and slipped to 69th place in the world rankings.

In the tennsinet. com interview, Siegemund spoke to the Australian Open about her forced break and her everyday life without tennis. Especially the mental challenge is missing:”This tension before and during the match, that’s my daily bread and butter”.
