ATP: Roger Federer:”Match for Africa 5″ with Jack Sock and Bill Gates

The fifth edition of Roger Federer’s “Match for Africa” will take place on 5. March in San Jose – besides Jack Sock, Microsoft founder Bill Gates will be there again.

The proceeds of the charity event will go to the Roger Federer Foundation once again,”I believe in the power of the people. We know that good education is a decisive factor in enabling children to take their future into their own hands,”Federer is quoted in a statement.

In the previous editions, the Swiss has already played Rafael Nadal, Stan Wawrinka, Andy Murray and John Isner:”I’ve had the good fortune to play a couple of times against Roger, but never for such an important purpose,”said Sock.

The Roger Federer Foundation has so far raised 36 million dollars to support children in Africa and Switzerland.

With Bill Gates, Federer won the fun double in the pre-print run. In addition to Gates, Savannah Guthrie, co-host of the Today Show on the U. S. broadcaster NBC, will also be present. Guthrie is not an inexperienced player in show doubles: at an advertising event with Rafael Nadal she already showed basic tennis knowledge.
