ATP: Next first-hour end: Misha Zverev is defeated by Berdych in Rotterdam

Mischa Zverev was eliminated in the first round of the ATP tournament in Rotterdam. The tennis pro from Hamburg was defeated by the Czech Tomas Berdych 5:7,3:6.

For 30-year-old Zverev, it was his fifth defeat in the sixth match in 2018.

At the Australian Open, Zverev had to give up against the later semi-finalist Chung Hyeon 2-6,1-4. He had been injured by a shoulder injury and affected by an infection, and therefore missed out on the Davis Cup first-round victory in Australia (3-1) at the beginning of February.

In his comeback last week in Montpellier, Zverev lost to the Frenchman Benoit Paire. Only in the first game of the year in Brisbane did he manage to make it into the second round at least.
