ATP: Novak Djokovic operated on the palpable hand

Not good news for the fans of Novak Djokovic: The former world number one continues to have injury problems, had to undergo a procedure on his right hand in Switzerland.

The elbow, which Novak Djokovic had tortured so badly over the past few months, is actually the elbow that the former industry leader was unable to play a match against Tomas Berdych for more than half a year after his retirement in Wimbledon. Now, however, several media reports, for example from the Swiss point of view, suggest that there may be something wrong with the Serbian’s right hand.

The twelve-time major champion was photographed leaving a clinic in Basel with a thickly bandaged right hand. Prior to that, Djokovic had already visited a specialist in Prague to find out about the treatment of floating bone. This is reported on the Italian website ubitennis.

Novak Djokovic’s medium-term prospects for the future therefore remain vague: The Serbian had actually named the tournament in Indian Wells, which will be held in the Californian desert at the beginning of March. This plan may have to be revised.
