ATP: Racket found – Hyeon Chung again with familiar material

Lost and found – for a short time Hyeon Chung had to make friends with the fact that he had to get along without his original clubs for the time being. But then the South Korean could be helped.

As the Austrian sports fan knows, Marcel Hirscher has members in his support team, who drive for the now seven-time Ski World Cup overall winner in a car across Europe, just to bring the right equipment to the competition venue for the great champion. Hyeong Chung is probably not quite so demanding when it comes to his play equipment. And no doubt: Chung’s club company Yonex would certainly have supplied tailor-made rackets to the Californian desert – after all, Hyeon Chung’s club bag had been lost on the way from Acapulco to Los Angeles. The South Korean had last used his beatings in the quarter-finals of the biggest Mexican ATP event, where he finished against the later finalist Kevin Anderson.

Better, however, when the original reappears. Benjamin Ray, a customer service representative for American Airlines, is probably responsible for this development. The search took ten hours, but in the end players and clubs were reunited.
