ATP: Munich: Maximilian Marterer surprises
Published on
Maximilian Marterer caused a big surprise at the ATP tournament in Munich. The 22-year-old from Nuremberg defeated the third seeded Argentinian Diego Schwartzman remarkably clearly with 6-4, 6-2 and entered the quarter-finals of the BMW Open.

In the first set he made the decisive break to 5-4, in the second he took Schwartzman’s serve to 2-1 and 4-1. 1:29 hours later, the fourth match point brought the decision.
