Service: Peugeot Tie Break Shoot Out 2018

Want to serve up like a real professional at an ATP tournament? This is now again possible as part of the Generali Open Kitzbühel. Together with the Hobby Tennis Tour, Kitzbühel will host the world’s largest amateur tournament from 30 July to 1 August 2018.

For the approximately 1000 hobby players, it’s not just about the honour of being part of the world’s biggest Tie Break Shoot Outs. In addition to the experience of leaving your mark on Kitzbüheler Boden, you can also win spectacular prizes. At major ATP and WTA tournaments, the winners are often presented with a new vehicle – this is different in Kitzbühel: the winner of the amateur tournament can look forward to a new Peugeot 2008 GT Line SUV. However, all participants will also be entered into a draw for other prizes worth seeing.

But amateurs in Kitzbühel can also feel like the ATP stars outside the court. An own Players Party is also part of it.

Last year the Upper Austrian hobby player Thomas Glasner from UTV Summerau crowned himself the hobby king among 200 participants and I secured a Peugeot 208 Roland Garros Edition.

A special rating system is used to enable as many amateur players of different levels as possible to participate. This gives weaker players a point advantage corresponding to their level of play. The matches of the amateur tournament are played on the surrounding tennis courts around Kitzbühel. The final will take place on Kitzbüheler Sand, the prize-giving ceremony before the individual tournament at the Center Court. Eligible are all amateur players, men and women from the age of 17.
