French Open: See it live today: The first day of qualification in Roland Garros
The French Open starts today. But before the main tournament starts, there is still a week of qualifying matches ahead. Here you can find all information about the first qualifying day in Roland Garros – including live stream.
The first matches start at ten o’clock. There are also seven German players.
The first qualifying day will be broadcast completely on the Eurosport Player like all other tournament days. On all days of the qualification from May 21 to 25, transmission starts at 10 a.m. The Eurosport Player provides several channels, so you can choose between up to 16 different places.
Pay-TV on Eurosport 2 Xtra will also feature summaries of the games of the day at 9 pm and 11 pm.
A total of eight German players will qualify, seven of whom are playing today. Dustin Brown will face Guido Andreozzi tomorrow.
In the end, 16 players reach the main field via the qualification. With 128 athletes originally starting in qualifying, a player must win three rounds to qualify for the tournament.
For a victory in the first round of qualifying, a player wins 11,000 euros, the loser receives 6,000 euros. For the main field qualification a player already receives 40,000 Euro.
