Blog: Carina Witthöft – “I do my own thing”
Today Carina Witthöft joins the French open 2018. Blogger Fabian Ziemer (“InLoveWithTennis”) talked to the woman from Hamburg.
At the end of May, the focus of the entire tennis world will traditionally be on a small district in Paris. The Stade Roland Garros is the second Grand Slam tournament of the year and demands full attention from all tennis fans – the French Open!
The start of the most important sand court tournament of the year in the fashion metropolis Paris has prompted the Munich blogger Fabian Ziemer (www.inlovewithtennis.com) to talk to Carina Witthöft, the current No. 58 in the WTA world ranking, about her favourite hobby.
“Of course, my full concentration is on a successful result at the French Open. But when I find time, I visit my favourite cafés in town and get inspired by the latest trends in fashion”.
On his new blog www.inlovewithtennis.com Fabian Ziemer wants to bring the areas “Tennis and Lifestyle” together and will report regularly for tennisnet.com from now on.
A few days before the start of the French Open 2018, Carina seems very relaxed. She feels well prepared and is looking forward to the days in one of her favourite cities Paris.
“When I look in my wardrobe it is not difficult for me to always pick out something new. The shooting was a spontaneous action and was a lot of fun. I love variety and I do my very own thing when it comes to fashion,” says the young Hamburg native.
In the meantime, the young German and 65,000 follow her on Instagram and Facebook where she gives her fans insights into her everyday life.
“I have a lot of fun on and off the pitch. Of course I am a professional player and I adjust my daily life to 1.000%. In the quieter minutes I like to travel on Instagram and use the platform to get inspired by new topics. Besides, I love going out for coffee with my girlfriends.”
In an interview with Carina Witthöft, one thing becomes clear to me. She knows exactly what she wants and cannot be influenced from outside. The first round defeat at the WTA tournament in Nuremberg will not get her out of her mind to approach the French Open in Paris with full concentration and also to have time to take a look at the latest trends in the fashion world. Carina is #inlovewithtennis .
