Tennis: Just Re-Married: Radek Stepanek marries Nicole Vaidisova
Radek Stepanek married his girlfriend Nicole Vaidisova in a small circle. Last Friday, the 39-year-old married his ten-year younger partner, and not for the first time.
Already in 2010 they celebrated their first wedding, which, however, ended three years later. But Vaidisova and Stepanek found their happiness again together. Next July the Czech couple are expecting offspring, a little boy will be born.
While more than 50 guests were invited to the first wedding, the second ceremony took place in a smaller group. “Every love story is beautiful, but I like ours the most,” wrote Stepanek on Instagram.
Stepanek ended his career last year. At the Australian Open, the double Grand Slam winner played his last professional match in doubles, but did not get his back problems under control despite an operation.
In 2006, he reached his eighth highest position in the ATP world rankings. Away from the square, Stepanek is considered a true Casanova. Besides Vaidisova, Petra Kvitova and Martina Hingis are among his former partners.
His current wife Vaidisova was in the semi-finals at the Australian Open and Roland Garros. In 2007 it reached seventh place in the world rankings. Three years later she retired from the big stage, her father spoke of a lack of interest in professional tennis.
However, she returned in the 2014 season before finally ending her career two years later due to several injuries.
