WTA: Antonia Lottner on Mallorca already in round two

After her successful qualification Antonia Lottner also convinced in round one of the WTA tournament on Mallorca: The German defeated Aliaksandra Sasnovich 6:4 and 6:0.

The affair did not even last an hour in Santa Ponca – then Antonia Lottner had turned a 1:4 in the first set into a convincing 6:4 and 6:0. Lottner will play either against titleholder Anastasija Sevastova or Svetlana Kutznesova from Russia in round two.

Lottner had fought his way into the main field by qualifying, also beating Andrea Petkovic. In addition to Lottner, two other German representatives Tatjana Maria and Carina Witthöft are already in round two. Angelique Kerber enters the tournament on Tuesday evening.
