ATP: Only Kei Nishikori can keep up with Roger Federer’s market value
Roger Federer is currently only second in the ATP world ranking behind Rafael Nadal. The Swiss, however, has a superior lead in another rating.
US Forbes Magazine usually responds quickly to changes in the income situation of famous people – the amount Roger Federer is to receive from his new outfitter Uniqlo (the figure is 300 million US dollars for a ten-year contract period) has not yet been included in the ranking of the best-earning athletes.
The good news for Federer: He should make ends meet. This is also due to the fact that the Swiss does not lead the Forbes ranking in terms of total salary, but does in fact lead the charts in terms of advertising income.

Which underlines the global appeal Federer continues to exude. Interesting, however, is the fact that the second tennis cracker to make it into the top ten has created a player with a more local flair. But the Asian market should also be large enough for Kei Nishikori.
According to Forbes, the undisputed top earner is still Boxer Floyd Mayweather, including the income from the core activity. Followed by two gentlemen who have just had a few unsatisfactory days in Russia: Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi
